After the rush of the festive Xmas season is over finding time to take care of yourself reflect on the year that was and reset new goals is I'm sure on top of everyones agenda.

So many years I have started off with the intention of following through with my goals and new years resolutions and then life gets away on me and they slip away.

This new year I am going to keep a journal with my goals and resolutions and at the end of the year check back on my goals and see how far I have come.

I think maybe we all set goals too high rather than making small changes to our every day life day by day as someone once said to me it takes 14 days to make a new habit last.

Some new year goals that are obtainable are

Starting an exercise programme

My new year resolution after having surgery a while back I think I was protecting my body but now I'm ready to get back into it

Les Mills have a great online tv app which is quite reasonable per month

Hiking, mountain biking, running and walking are all good forms of exercise to get in shape and what I'll be doing.

Also joining my local gym - the gym to slowly get my shape back.

I think as long as you start off slow you won't give up... Even 30 minutes of exercise most days gives you the endorphin rush..

Developing a good skincare routine

With summer upon us now's the time to revamp our skincare routine.

Adding SPF skincare each day will help keep sun spots and premature ageing at bay.

A good face mask each week helps to revitalize and replenish your skin.

From peel off masks to sheet masks and clay masks my favourite there is alot of great products out there. Relaxing with a hot chocolate or a good glass of wine the perfect..

An exfoliator so good for your skin and gives your skin a nice glow..

Mindfulness

Whether your into meditation or yoga mindfulness is a great way to unwind from a busy week.

Mindfulness for me is slowing down and taking in my surroundings we live such fast paced lives it's good to stop and just relax once in a while... Or you might miss out on something right in front of you.

Adding to that journaling is a great way to not only get your thoughts on how your day went but also to get down ideas as they come.

These are my 3 new years resolutions whatever you take on remember each day we have a chance to make ourselves better and to enrich our lives with the things and people around us.
