If your anything like me sometimes the thought of working out especially after a long day can be daunting.

But setting a few moments aside to get out there and move, is so very important for our health.

I'm here to tell you that working out can be an extremely enjoyable experience.

Whether I'm walking or jogging by the sea, hiking through the forests or taking a walk through a pretty garden, exercise never feels like a chore for me. When you bring the element of fun back like when you were a kid, you start looking forward to your next workout.


Beach Workouts

A few years ago I went through a tough time and my outlet for this was the seaside.

Whether I was strolling along the promenade in Omokoroa or taking a jog in the sand, it helped me to unwind and take away the stress and breathe in and enjoy my surroundings.

Beach workout tips


Walking - Walking along board walks or on the sand is a great way to get fit. Having music playing helps to keep you motivated. Tip: - Take long strides in the fluffy sand it tones your legs


Running - I find running on compacted sand has much less impact on your knees. Start off slow and do little HIIT sprints in small intervals to boost your metabolism.


Remember working out should be fun not a chore so find your happy workout and go for it.
