I was privileged to have the opportunity to attend the aimn wellness festival weekend on 23/24 June in Auckland City.

I didn't know what to expect having never had the opportunity to attend one of these wellness events before and I was pleasantly surprised by just how inspired I became.

Held at the brad warehouse on Durham street on entering the warehouse we were greeted by the aimn team who were such friendly lovely people and I felt really welcome to be there.

We were kindly provided with some aimn workout tights and crop top you can tell the quality is outstanding, super comfortable and moves with your body when exercising. If you haven't purchased their workout gear before I highly recommend it.

My morning started off with Yoga with Monica Kronin. I am quite new to yoga but you could take it at your own pace and once I got into it I just felt so relaxed and energised also. A great class to kick off the weekend.

We then listened to a few seminars on different aspects of life, from finance to limiting beliefs and how to lose them and an empowerment panel I was starting to get inspired listening to these ladies talk and how they started their businesses and the challenges and obstacles they overcame to become successful.

when you believe in yourself and set goals you just have to take that first step to accomplish what you want. By taking one step then moving forward you can achieve.

Whether it's working on your health and wellbeing or starting a new business that first step can be the hardest but the reward will be worth it in the end.

I went back to the hotel feeling relaxed and rejuvenated a little tired from the drive to Auckland but a sense of drive in me that I hadn't noticed before and new things I had learnt I could incorporate into my everyday life.

Day 2 started off with a pilates session one of my favourite exercise classes.

I find it promotes healthy lean muscles and tones your whole body.

The class was taken by Kelsey from core collective we certainly felt the burn in this class such a great workout. Pilates is definitely a great overall toning exercise and if you can keep with it it has such great outcomes.

This days seminars ranged from learning about our hormones and how this can affect us to daily rituals routines and habits and what I learnt from this seminar is to have daily non negotiables from having that cup of coffee in the morning, to eating a healthy breakfast and doing some stretches or a quick exercise class before work to name a few, by incorporating these into your daily life you can better achieve your daily goals and workload. Having time for myself daily is so important to keep me focussed for my busy day ahead.

Unwind and take time for yourself ladies self care and relaxation are really important in today's fast paced world. you can really find out a lot about yourself when you slow down and take time for yourself and take that girls weekend away from your everyday life- and you may find what has been right in front of you all along, you just have to find it then start..
